NFC pet tags · no app · no battery

The tag that brings them home.

Any phone taps your pet's CAIRN and sees exactly what matters — their photo, their medical alerts, and a one-tap call to you. Editable forever. Powered by nothing.

No subscription iPhone & Android Made in the USA

“The gate was open for twenty minutes before anyone noticed.”

Every lost-dog story starts the same way. What happens in the next hour decides how it ends. CAIRN puts your phone number, your pet's photo, and their medical needs one tap away from whoever finds them — no app store, no account, no reading a worn-off engraving.

How it works

Three taps between lost and found.

01

Tap

Whoever finds your pet holds their phone to the tag. iPhone or Android — no app, nothing to install, nothing to charge.

02

See

Your pet's page opens instantly: photo, medical alerts in a can't-miss box, personality notes, and your number — exactly as current as you keep it.

03

Home

One tap calls you. One more shares their exact GPS pin. You get the alert the moment the tag is scanned — before they even dial.

Lost Mode

Flip one switch the second they slip out.

The whole page goes red

A can’t-miss banner with your message — reward, “call any hour”, whatever it takes.

You know the moment it's tapped

Every scan of a lost pet's tag pings your phone instantly — even if the finder never presses a button.

Finders can drop a pin

One tap shares their exact location with you — no phone tag, no “I think I’m near the park”.

The tags

Three shapes. Three colorways. One tap.

Each CAIRN is 3D-printed as a single sealed piece with the NFC chip embedded mid-print — no seams to leak, no battery door, nothing to unscrew.

Trail

Moss olive

The original. Rounded square, stacked-stone mark, built like the trail markers it's named for.

Beacon

Summit navy

Hex shield with a signal ring. For the pets whose recall is… a work in progress.

Compass

Basecamp sand

Badge silhouette, warm sand, quietly outdoorsy. Points home from anywhere.

Built for weather, teeth, and creek water. Printed in ASA — the UV-stable plastic outdoor fixtures are made of — with the chip sealed inside the print itself. No battery, ever. If a phone can tap, it works.
Why CAIRN

Engravings fade. Trackers need batteries.

FAQ

Fair questions.

Does the person who finds my pet need an app?
No — that's the whole point. Tapping the tag opens a regular web page in their phone's browser. iPhones (XS and newer) read NFC automatically; Android has it built in too.
What shows up when someone taps it?
Whatever you choose: your pet's photo, name, breed, medical alerts in a highlighted box, personality notes, your phone number as one-tap call and text buttons, and a button that lets the finder share their exact location with you. You control every field from your dashboard.
What if I move or change my number?
Edit your pet's page any time — the tag never has to be rewritten. That's the difference from an engraving: the tag points to your pet's living profile, not a snapshot of your info from two addresses ago.
Battery? Charging? Subscription?
None, none, and none. The chip is passive — it's powered by the phone that taps it. Your tag and profile work for the life of the product with no monthly fee.
How tough is it, really?
The body is ASA — the UV-stable plastic used for outdoor fixtures — and the chip is sealed inside the print itself during manufacturing. No compartments, no glue seams, nothing to pop open in a creek. Swim-proof, chew-resistant, summer-proof.
What about my privacy?
You decide what's visible. Show your first name only, hide your phone number, keep your address off entirely (we only ever ask for a general home area, never a street address). The page shows what a good-hearted finder needs — nothing more.
How much does it cost?
Founder-batch tags are $29 — the regular price will be $39. That's one-time, with no subscription ever; the tag and your pet's page work for the life of the product. Early-access folks lock the founder price.
When can I get one?
